The guys bring up all kinds of fun topics like how Jesus is similar to Superman, Hobby Lobby’s continual desire for American theocracy, our disappointment in Pope Francis’ recent comments on childless marriages, one of the best trolls of all time at the Oklahoma Statehouse, and a recent discovery at a Catholic seminary in Ireland that really got to Anthony.

Welcome to our first foray into topic-less episodes. “Heathen Hodgepodge” is an opportunity for us hosts to bring up anything that has been important to us lately. This could include articles we’ve found, events from our lives, or philosophical discussions. Really, we bring up anything we damn well please.

This time we sort of went off on a tangent when Anthony brought up the birth control debate. We discussed our opinions on abortion, sex education, and corporations as individuals. In order to not have a 2 hour+ episode, we decided to break this recording up. Check back in a few weeks for the second part, and let us know what you thought of this one. Thank you, and enjoy!

For the first time as a group, the gang gets together to discuss the appalling Supreme Court decision from Town of Greece v. Galloway. Anthony (or Tiny) makes a tasteless holocaust joke, Matt defends secular hyperbole in new media, and Chad learns what the Zapruder Film is …. things got very random; but the discussion was good and fun times were had. Enjoy!

Correction: Three times (seriously?), Anthony referred to the current Supreme Court as the “Rhenquist Court.” This is actually the “Roberts Court”; apologies for that.

If you have ever wondered how an atheist reads The Bible, this series is for you. Anthony and Matt discuss notes they took and thoughts they had as they read Genesis. This is the third episode of the series Secular Bible Study where Anthony and Matt read through The Bible for the first time as secularists.

Eventually, all 66 books will be covered. Unfortunately, Anthony and Matt had A LOT to say; so the recording is being broken up into multiple parts. This is the last episode for Genesis. In the weeks to come we will move on to Exodus; so make sure you come back!
